Observe in the Heart Diagram Blood Flow above that the human heart is connected with blood vessels that pump blood from and to our body. The blood is pumped into the blood vessels through the heart. Our heart pumps pure blood to different parts of the body and then takes the deoxygenated blood from all the parts to the lungs for oxygenation. The blue arrows represent un-oxygenated blood flowing into the heart and the red arrows represent oxygenated blood flowing out of the heart to the organs and brain. You can check out the parts with the labels to understand more about the functions.
